Manners Monday: A Guide to Holiday Etiquette

Monday, November 19, 2012

Since we're just a few short days away from Thanksgiving (hopefully you're feeling more excited than stressed) and weeks away from Christmas, what better time to do a refresher crash-course on all things related to holiday etiquette? Some of my older blog posts are the best and for many of you who are newer readers here at The Classy Woman, you may have missed out on these gems (if I do say so myself) so I'm sharing all of them again in a single post.

While I'm not sharing about how to decorate your table for Thanksgiving or how to roast a turkey (which some of you may be searching the web for), knowing how to conduct one's self in the company of others is even more important than if you get the stuffing just right. It's something every classy woman should aspire to do.

Spend a few minutes reading through all the tips in these posts below and you'll be ready to present your best and most ladylike self as a guest or hostess for turkey day (and any social gathering or holiday event for that matter).

Depending on whom you are spending Thanksgiving with this year, all of these may not apply to you. However, if you're meeting new family members or someone's significant other for the first time or maybe haven't seen your family in a long time, you may find the tips on conversation helpful.

How are you planning to spend Thanksgiving this year? Will you be the hoste or a guest this year?

Thanks for reading!

XO
